Last updated: 2026-08-26. Read this before you pay. Paying, listing a profile, or leaving a comment means you accept these terms.

1. What Buy One is

• Buy One is a paid placement board. Position is determined solely by the total amount paid toward a listing. There is no editorial judgement, no algorithm, no measure of quality, popularity or merit.
• Every listing on this site is a paid advertisement. This is disclosed on every page.
• This is not a contest, sweepstake, lottery, auction of goods, or game of chance or skill. No prize is awarded. You are purchasing a position in a public list for as long as nobody pays more.
• A rank is not property, has no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and is not an investment.

2. Payments

• Prices are in US dollars, whole amounts only. Taxes may apply depending on where you are.
• Payments are cumulative and final. Money paid toward a profile URL stays attached to it and raises its total. Nothing is refunded when someone outranks you — that is the entire mechanic and you accept it by paying.
• Where consumer law grants you a right to withdraw from a digital purchase, that right is set out in section 9 and is not removed by this section.
• Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We never see or store your card details.
• We may refuse or reverse a payment we believe to be fraudulent, disputed, or unlawful, and remove the listing it paid for.

3. Listing a profile

• You may list a profile only if you own it or are authorised to act for the person or organisation behind it. Listing someone else's profile without permission is a breach of these terms.
• Anyone can pay toward a profile already on the board. Payments raise its total; they do not transfer ownership of the listing, and they never change the country, city or category it was first listed under.
• Do not list profiles of children, of people who have asked not to be listed, or profiles created to impersonate someone.
• We link to the profile URL you supply. We do not host, control, verify or endorse anything on it.

4. Comments

• Words attached to a payment are published publicly next to that profile. You are solely responsible for what you write and you keep responsibility for it after publication.
• Do not post anything false, defamatory, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexual, or that reveals private information about another person.
• Comments pass through an automated profanity filter. That filter is a courtesy, not a guarantee, and does not make us the author or approver of any comment.
• You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, store and remove what you post.
• Comments are hidden automatically once they reach 10 reports. We may also hide or delete any comment at any time, with or without reports, and with no refund of the payment it accompanied.

5. Prohibited

• Adult, sexual or NSFW platforms and content.
• Group-chat and invite links (WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger, Signal and similar) — these are not profiles.
• Link shorteners, redirect chains, affiliate, referral or tracking URLs.
• Content that is illegal where you are or where we operate, infringes intellectual property, promotes violence or hatred, or is designed to deceive.
• Automated bidding, scripted abuse, vote manipulation, or paying to harass a person or brand.

6. Removal and complaints

• If your profile was listed without your permission, contact us and we will remove it. No payment is required to be removed and no proof of purchase is needed — only that the profile is yours.
• To report a comment, use the report control on it. To report anything else — impersonation, defamation, intellectual-property infringement, or unlawful content — contact us with the URL and what is wrong.
• We aim to review every complaint promptly, and act faster where the law requires a fixed response time.
• Money paid toward a listing that is removed for breaching these terms is not refunded.

7. No affiliation, no guarantee

• Buy One is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instagram, Facebook, Quora, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, Threads, Pinterest, Snapchat, Twitch, GitHub, Telegram, Medium, Substack, SoundCloud, Behance, Dribbble, or any other platform. Their names are used only to say where a profile lives, and all trade marks belong to their owners.
• We promise no traffic, clicks, followers, revenue, exposure or outcome of any kind. Click counts are our own best-effort measurement and are not audited.
• The service is provided "as is". We may change the rules, the pricing, the boards, or shut the site down.

8. Liability

• To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
• We are not liable for what other users publish, for what is on any linked profile, or for losses of profit, goodwill, reputation or opportunity.
• Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death, personal injury, or fraud.

9. Your statutory rights

• Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under the consumer law of your own country.
• In some jurisdictions you have a cooling-off right to cancel a digital purchase within a set period. Because a listing goes live immediately, you are asked to agree that performance begins at once, which may end that right. Where it has not ended, contact us.

10. Contact and governing law

These terms are a starting draft prepared for this build. They are not legal advice. Have a qualified lawyer in your operating country review them before you accept a single real payment.
